Self taught, I started my career as a professional football player on the national Senegalese team until I arrived in
France in 1977.

In 1983, my athletic career ended due to injury, and I turned towards other activities.

In the 90's, I came to realize that painting could be an authentic and unique way for me to express my deepest
emotions. What was once only a hobby soon developed into a real passion.

Inspired by the incomparable atmosphere of a Guinean friend's business, I decided to open my own restaurant,
LE TERANGA, in Grenoble in 1998. I wanted to create a welcoming environment in which to promote cultural
interchanges and to display my work.

Today, as an artist-chef, I am still motivated by my desire to help people discover Senegalese culture, whether
through my culinary art or through the exhibition of my new works inside the restaurant.
